Florida Ready to Work is an innovative workforce education and economic development program. The centerpiece of the program is the Florida Ready to Work credential, a career readiness certificate signed by the Governor that certifies that a Florida career seeker has the fundamental job skills necessary to succeed in today’s rapidly changing and competitive economy.

Who is eligible to earn a Ready to Work Credential?

Any Florida resident career seeker.

What are the Required Assessments?

A career seeker must take three proctored assessments Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information and Locating Information. Each assessment takes approximately 55 minutes to complete.

The assessments are generally scored on a scale from 3 to 7. The higher the career seeker scores, the greater his/her ability to perform more complex tasks and qualify for a broader range of jobs. Career seekers can re-take the assessments to improve their score, upon proof of remediation using the WIN Courseware.

What are the three Credential Levels?

  • Bronze Minimum score of 3 on all assessments

  • Silver Minimum score of 4 on all assessments

  • Gold Minimum score of 5 on all assessments

How will a Ready to Work Credential benefit You?

Many employers use the Ready to Work credential as part of their recruitment and hiring practices. This credential will demonstrate to current and future employers that the career seeker has the skills that are necessary for successful job performance.
