Thank You!

The Florida Pomegranate Association appreciates your time, interest, involvement and awareness of the need for financial assistance.

In support of the ongoing mission to promote the pomegranate

as a viable fruit crop for Florida's future.

Florida Pomegranate Association

A small group of Florida based pomegranate enthusiasts founded an association in 2012: the FPA. Today with the dedication of the members and the assistance of Dr. Bill Castle, University of Florida’s citrus expert, the FPA has evolved into the state’s largest grower-based non-profit organization designed for, promoting and growing pomegranates in Florida for its extensive list of healthy attributes. The rapid growth in the popularity of the pomegranate across the nation indicates an ever increasing demand for the FPA to successfully achieve the goal of sustainable pomegranate cultivation while harvesting marketable fruit and producing quality products made from the most viable fruit crop growing for Florida’s health conscience population.

FPA is currently the only pomegranate networking project in Florida offering and providing educational information and agricultural opportunities to those interested in growing and cultivating pomegranate on a personal level as well as for the comprehensive agricultural businesses across the state.

Each year FPA hosts three member-participating events: the Winter Growers Meeting, the Summer Orchard Trek and the  Annual Meeting. FPA enlists experts in their respective fields for each event as our guest keynote speakers. These outstanding speakers provide interesting lectures extending new and helpful advice toward many attendees’ own goals. You are personally invited to participate in all FPA hosted events and you are encouraged to bring your friends.

We gain knowledge from our fellow growers during the Winter Growers Meeting as growers discuss new techniques on overcoming minor obstacles encountered, as  well as the tried and true methods for conquering our cultivation concerns.  Reviews are presented highlighting the varieties grown around the state.

The Summer Orchard Treks give inspiration to all pomegranate growers. Visiting operational orchards across the state at the height of summer growing season provides a first hand experience of progress in action.

The FPA Annual Meeting is held in October. Pomegranate growers and enthusiasts consider this Florida's tastiest pomegranate-infused information-filled event of the year. Valuable information focusing on How-To-Tips for the DIY pomegranate growers as well as industry related information and opportunities for those interested in large-scale orchard production is offered.  The USDA Block Grant progress is discussed by the project leaders and the latest report from the pomegranate breeding study program is reviewed. Each year multiple exhibitors and FPA Sponsors exhibit quality products, offer superior customer services and donate generous door prizes selected for the new and seasoned pomegranate growers. A chef prepared lunch of traditional and sometime exotic pomegranate dishes is always a mouth-watering treat enjoyed by all.  Everyone’s favorite part of the day is the official Pomegranate Taste Test Experience.  We invite you to join the panel of Judges and cast your vote while acquainting yourself with the amazing array of pomegranate aril colors, textures and flavors of delicious pomegranate varieties not yet available in the market place.  This event is one you & your friends will not want to miss.

Join in! Discover for yourself how the future of the pomegranate can be growing today and thriving tomorrow in orchards across Florida.

THE POMEGRANATE'S FUTURE DEPENDS ON YOU & FPA!

We look forward to you seeing you at the Florida Pomegranate Association events. Know that your personal involvement with FPA is extremely valuable in helping to secure the pomegranate’s future here in Florida.  FPA’s event registrations are available online.  This provides a quick, easy and secure method for registering your annual FPA Membership 24/7.  You are encouraged to pre-register electronically through Eventbrite.com for each FPA hosted event you would like to attend.  Active Members receive Members Only discounts to all FPA sponsored events. Active Members are the first to receive the electronic version of 'The ARIL', FPA's Newsletter, industry news and announcements of upcoming events and more!

In our continuing effort to provide relevant activities and progressive information throughout the year for our expanding roster of members and guests; we are seeking    pro-active volunteers to aid in organizing, promoting and tackling the tasks of producing the multiple FPA hosted events.
