The 16th Annual Florida Paddlers' Rendezvous 2018 will be hosted by the West Florida Canoe and Kayak Club, Florida Kayak Organization and Florida Paddling Trail Association at Bear Lake Campground off highway 4 in the Blackwater River State Forest. The Florida Panhandle has a plethora of spring fed creeks and rivers. We have selected several beautiful streams to paddle during the 2018 Rendezvous. Two campgrounds Bear Lake Campground and Krul Campground have been reserved for the Rendezvous participants with Event Registration through Reserve America. Once you are a registered participant by completing this online application for the Rendezvous an event code and phone number will be provided for Bear Lake and Krul Lake. There are additional state and private campgrounds and hotels in the local area that also can be reserved. These campgrounds all support RVs, Trailers and tents. Friday night we are hosting a Meet-n-Greet and game night at the Bear Lake Campground Pavilion. Then Saturday night we are providing a catered BBQ dinner at the Bear Lake Campground Pavilion. In addition, there will be several places to hike if you don’t want to paddle all 4 days. We are looking forward to seeing you.

To make your selection for registration, additional catered meals and paddling trips click on Tickets. You must pay the registration fee as a paddler to be able to paddle during the event.

If you are an attendee that is paddling, a catered meal is included as part of the registration.

Select the Non-Paddlers Catered Dinner fee ticket for anyone with you (not registered to paddle) that would like to eat the catered meal Saturday night with you.

Keep in mind while selecting your Paddling choices (click on tickets). We are limiting paddlers to 25 per event for most paddles. Select your trips at the time of registration as you will not be able to select after the fact.

Eglin Passes are required for these rivers: Turkey Creek, Boiling Creek and Titi Creek. To get an Eglin day pass costs $5 and annual pass is 20$ from Jackson Guard in Niceville or online at https://eglin.isportsman.net/OutdoorRecPermits.aspx. Keep in mind that Eglin range has closures so we may have to cancel the trip at the last minute. Recommend that you wait to get your pass until the 25th and 26th of Oct. (Thursday or Friday in person or anytime before the paddle online.

Easy paddles are on Coldwater, Juniper, and Blackwater. Boiling Creek is easy but the start is Little Boiling which will require some wading as this section is shallow and mostly a swamp. But well worth the trip.

More challenging: Big Escambia (fast water through trees), Titi (faster water and more twisty) and Turkey Creek Narrow and twisty.

We recommend canoes or kayaks that are 14ft and under in length, as you will find the trip easier then longer boats on our twisty paddling trips.
