Event description

Description

Growing a bountiful vegetable garden doesn't have to be backbreaking work, join Brian Niemann, UF/IFAS Extension Pinellas County Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Agent on January 11 or January 18 to learn about gardening with sub-irrigated planters (SIPS). Sub-irrigation delivers water right to a plants' roots where it's needed. SIPS give a more consistent water supply than hand watering and it's easier to control the nutrient load. Several planter designs will be discussed, with 5 gallon planters available for pre-purchase through Eventbrite.

Sub-irrigated planters are available only at the class and pre-payment is required when registering. If the planters will be transported inside your car please bring something to cover your seats to protect from possible soil or moisture.

Questions about this class? Please call Brian Niemann at (727) 453-6524 or email bniemann@pinellascounty.org.
