This training is a science-based educational program aimed at Green Industry workers, brought to you by the University of Florida IFAS Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ program. This program teaches landscaping practices that help conserve and protect Florida's ground and surface waters.

(You must take the pre-test at the beginning of the training to receive certification.)

· Lawn/Landscape Cultural and Fertilization Best Management Practices
· Break (visit the Native Plant Show next door!)
· Fertilizer Best Management Practices
· Pesticide Best Management Practices
· Post-Test and CEUs
CEU's for Pesticide (maximum of 4):
· General Standards / Core - 2

· O & T - 2
· Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance - 2

· Plus 4 (four) FNGLA CEU's available

Anyone working in lawn care, pest control, landscaping, or irrigation
City and County employees including parks, stormwater, procurement, and planning
Who you should attend:
All commercial fertilizer applicators must have a license from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. To obtain this license, each commercial fertilizer applicator must first be trained in the Florida-Friendly Best Management Practices and receive a certificate of completion.
Green Industries worker choose to participate in the program to better serve their clients
Regulatory agencies need to keep contract specification updated with the new state requirements
Training in the Best Management Practices Manual (pre-class study is recommended:http://fyn.ifas.ufl.edu/pdf/grn-ind-bmp-en-12-2008.pdf)
Certification of completion with a passing test grade of 75%
