The mission of the Florida Alliance for Health Professions Diversity is to increase the diversity of health professionals and researchers, reduce racial and ethnic health disparities, and promote access to quality health care for all Floridians.
The goal of the 2013 Student Symposium is to foster innovation and inquiry for the future of health care delivery so that trainees can explore the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to be successful in the 21st century health professions workforce. The conference will focus on evolving health care challenges, role of interprofessional teams and health information technology.
1. Discuss challenges to quality healthcare delivery
2. Be able to discuss several qualities and skills needed for future health professionals to be able to address health care challenges
3. Discuss several innovative practices, including technology, that improve health care delivery.
