Workshop Topics:

November 2, 2017 - Your Leadership Needs

Steve Marsh, Chairman of The Board, Enterprise Bank and Trust

Growing businesses often seek leadership support. Not only is it lonely at the top, it’s busy and requires a lot of skill. This workshop brings you through a skills assessment and a process to build leadership within your company and with external advisors.

December 7, 2017 - Manage Your Risks

Dennis Donahue, Founding Member, CreatiVenture Law

Risk can be handled in one or more of four ways: accept, avoid, mitigate or transfer. This workshop takes you through your entire business and shows you how you handle risk. We help you integrate risk management into your growth plans.

January 25, 2018 - What business are you in?

Steve Epner, Founding Member, The Startup Within, LLC

What is your core value proposition? What are you the best at? What do your customers like most about you? Who is your best customer? Are you in the restaurant business or in the best-falafel-in-St. Louis business? When Hertz got into the get-out-of-the-airport-fast business they left the competition in the dust.

February 1, 2018 - Key Performance Indicators

William Lemon, PhD, Director of Scientific and Computing Services, University of Missouri Saint Louis

A core component of a successful company’s dashboard is its key performance indicators. KPIs provide a graphical, factual view on performance in critical areas. This workshop shows you how to identify those critical measures, how to measure them so they won’t be gamed, and how to use them to maximum benefit.

March 1, 2018 - Build Your Marketing Pipeline

Tom Oleksy, Maketing Manager, Innoventor, Inc

Marketing is a process designed to gain specific responses from specific groups. TOMMCR is a process that every company can use to develop sound marketing practices that can be monitored and improved. This process is flexible and can be used for multifaceted campaigns as well as for focused efforts often faced by emerging businesses.

April 5, 2018 - Making Your Best Next Hire

Victoria Wors, SPHR, Principla of Wors Consulting specializing in Human Resources Service

Hiring someone to do what you won’t or can’t do is hard. Evaluating resumes is time-consuming and making the wrong hire can be devastating. This workshop provides a process to help identify the person you need who is not a mini-me and helps you evaluate how to manage the hiring process.

May 3, 2018 - What is Your Core Message

Mary Brice, Ph.D, Chairman of The Board, Gateway Venture Mentoring Service

Getting your product or service into the hands of the right customer is key to success. Marketing is the methodology for doing that. Once you target the right people, the key to making them your customer is your message. This workshop brings together your strengths and the customers needs, wants and dreams into a core message.

June 7, 2018 - Your Best Next Step

Tom Hagemann, Gateway Venture Mentoring Service Mentor

Every business has three options: 1) create a new product or service for existing customers, 2) find new customers for existing products and services and 3) create new products or services for new customers. The first two are the only practical alternatives short of M&A and most companies focus on #2. We help you take a careful and thorough look at both options.

Please do, however a mobile confirmation works, as well. Bring your completed homework too.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

If you are registering for someone else, please shoot us an email with the name of the person who will be attending in your place. They will need to get the links to the videos and the homework. We will help with that, but it will be up to you to ensure they get them.
