Tuesday 9.00-12.00pm: What people are doing with their flipped designs (Part 2)?
This session follows on from the Poster Mixer on Monday, providing further opportunities to hear from experienced flippers who have chosen flipped designs to support their students’ learning. Presenters will highlight key features of flipped design they have found to be effective in their varied contexts and disciplines, as well as discuss the frameworks they use to underpin their learning designs. Presentations will be for 20 min, including time for questions/discussion (e.g., 10-15min presentation with 10-5 min for questions/discussion).
Tuesday 1.30-4.00pm: Building a Flipped Community of Practice
This session will focus on the importance of building networks to sustain, support and encourage our flipped learning endeavours. Communities of Practice (CoPs) have been a proven way of fostering peer review, a place to share successes and perceived failures, as well as nurturing collaborative research and scholarship.
The structure of this session will be based on a typical CoP gathering and will include strategies for creating local and online groups into the future.
