The FLDS is excited to announce two reading groups this year.During Semester II we'll read the New York Times best seller, Smarter, Faster, Better: The Secrets of Being Productive in Life and Business by Duhigg. This fun read pulls from multiple disciplines to include topics like motivation in "Reimagining Boot Camp, Nursing Home Rebellions, and the Locus of Control" and managing others in "Solving a Kidnapping with Lean and Agile Thinking and a Culture of Trust."
The Book Description (from Amazon): At the core of Smarter Faster Better are eight key productivity concepts—from motivation and goal setting to focus and decision making—that explain why some people and companies get so much done. Drawing on the latest findings in neuroscience, psychology, and behavioral economics—as well as the experiences of CEOs, educational reformers, four-star generals, FBI agents, airplane pilots, and Broadway songwriters—this painstakingly researched book explains that the most productive people, companies, and organizations don’t merely act differently. They view the world, and their choices, in profoundly different ways.
The Time: 3pm-4pm
The Dates: The first Monday to include Feb 6, Mar 6, and Apr 3.
This registration is for Semester II only. You may choose to participate in either semester, but those who participate in both semesters will receive the books for free. Please register for both semesters now
