Description

Celebrate #InternationalCoffeeDay with exclusive specialty coffees from Central America and a the film screening of "The Coffee Man" on 1 October 2016.

Explore the best specialty coffees Central America has to offer with a free cupping of samples from Belize, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. The cupping session will be followed by a special screening of 'The Coffee Man', a documentary profile of  2015 World Barista Champion Sasa Sestic (view the trailer).

The event is co-hosted by the UK Heads of Mission of the Central American Integration System (SICA) countries, the Executive Director of the International Coffee Organization (ICO), and the Executive Director of the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE).

Schedule of events

  • 2:00pm: Opening speeches

  • 2:30pm to 3:30pm: Coffee tasting session led by Q-Grader Freda Yuan 

  • 3:30pm to 5:00pm:  Film screening "The Coffee Man" & networking with free Central American coffees, rums and foods
