ALL INFORMATION IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE

This event is open to the public. General public will be allowed to enter Fort Carson through gates 1 & 20 without having to obtain a day pass. Gates open at 1:30 p.m.

All information contained is subject to change.

Festival Activities

2:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.: Wristband Activities

  • $5/person (ages 4+) for an activity wristband: Early bird registration opens August 05, 2019 and closes at 12:00 p.m. on October 03, 2019.
  • Same-day purchase is from 2:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. (No same-day tickets will be sold after 5:00 p.m.)
  • Activity wristband gains access to zip line, carnival games, bounce houses, face painting & quad jumper.
  • Parents/guardians that want to participate in games/activities must purchase a wristband.
  • Activity Wristband is ONLY good for MWR activities and DOES NOT include run registration or beer Olympics. A waiver is required for participation.
  • Wristband pick up: October 04, 2019, from 5:00 a.m. -10:00 p.m. at Ivy Fitness Center, Bldg 1925

2:15 p.m.: Dance Party Warm-up

  • Warm-up before the run

3:00 p.m.: Amuck, Amuck, A Ruck 10K

  • Amuck, Amuck, A Ruck 10K starts at 3:00 p.m.
  • Amuck, Amuck, A Ruck 10K is approximately 6.2 miles.
  • Run is timed.
  • $20/person (ages 4+) Early Bird registration opens August 05, 2019 and closes at 12 p.m. on October 03, 2019.
  • Same day/race day registration is 2:00 p.m. -2:30 p.m. (No registration will be sold after 2:30 pm) $30/person ages 4+
  • T-shirt included with paid registration only (Adult size t-shirts available while supplies last).
  • Little Kid registration is FREE! (no t-shirt included), limit 4 per transaction. Please choose the option from the 'Additional Items' menu.
  • No pets allowed.
  • Strollers are allowed.
  • Please observe fun run courtesy. Runners to the left, walkers/strollers to the right.
  • No minimum age. Individual waivers are required for participation. All minors ages 13-17 years must have a parent signature. All minors 12 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
  • Waiver required for participation.
  • We recommend arriving early for parking.

3:15 p.m.: Fearless 5K

  • Mountain Post Living Run Challenge- The Fearless 5K will be the second of a three-part fun run series. The third will be during our winter festival being held on December 7, 2019.
  • The Fearless 5K starts at 3:15 p.m.
  • The Fearless 5K is approximately 3.1 miles.
  • The Fearless 5K will be timed.
  • $15/person (ages 4+) Early Bird registration opens August 05, 2019 and closes at 12 p.m. on October 03, 2019.
  • Same day/race day registration is 05 October 2019, 2:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. (No registration will be sold after 2:30 p.m.) $25/person ages 4+
  • T-shirt included with paid registration only (Adult size t-shirts are available while supplies last)
  • MPL participation run series medal -2nd piece included with paid registration only
  • Little Kid registration is FREE! (no t-shirt or medal included), limit 4 per transaction. Please choose the option from the 'Additional Items' menu.
  • No pets allowed.

  • $10/person (ages 4+) Early Bird registration opens August 05, 2019 and closes at 12 p.m. on October 03, 2019.
  • Same day/race day registration is 2:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. (No registration will be sold after 2:30 pm) $20/person ages 4+
  • T-shirt included with paid registration only (Youth and Adult size t-shirts are available- while supplies last)
  • Little Kid registration is FREE! (no t-shirt), limit 4 per transaction. Please choose the option from the 'Additional Items' menu.
  • No pets allowed.

4:30 p.m. Beer Olympics

  • Beer Olympics will start at 4:30 p.m.
  • $20 per team (4 person team) Early bird registration opens August 05, 2019 and closes at 12 p.m. on October 03, 2019.
  • Same-day registration is 2:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. (No registration will be sold after 3:30 pm) $25 per team
  • Olympics will be officiated and the winning team will receive a trophy
  • Must be 21+ to participate.
  • 100% ID Card Check.

SHIRT PICK UP

  • Adult sizes for all 3 runs, youth sizes will only be offered for the Pumpkin Spice Run.
  • All shirt sizes are final. No returns or exchanges
  • All shirt sizes are limited and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis
  • Shirt and medal pick-up: October 04, 2019, from 5 a.m.-10 p.m. at the Ivy Fitness Center, Bldg. 1925
  • Shirt and medals provided on a limited basis.





Notice to the General Public:

  • Non-DoD ID cardholders are welcome to attend the event. Gates will open 1:30 p.m. and Non-DoD ID cardholders will need to enter through Gates 1 and 20. No need to stop by the visitor's center.
  • No refunds issued due to late arrival or if access to Fort Carson is denied
  • All personnel entering Fort Carson must be in possession of a valid state or federally issued photo ID from a REAL ID Act compliant state. Current states not in compliance are Alaska, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia & Washington. (Update to the REAL ID Act effective June 1, 2017)
  • If using an ID from a state or territory that is not REAL ID Act compliant, then an approved secondary form of ID is required. More information on the REAL ID Act can be found at https://www.dhs.gov/real-id

Terms and Conditions:

  • The festival site opens at 2:00 p.m.
  • No refunds are issued.
  • No federal endorsement is implied for any paid advertising.
  • Fort Carson MWR reserves the right to film, record or photograph event activities for post-event purposes. Guests are advised that this may result in the incidental inclusion of guests within any recording or photographs.
  • Guests assume all risks associated with participation in this event including but not limited to traffic and/or weather variations.
  • The sponsors of the DFMWR Flavors of Fall and associated activities, the Fort Carson Community, its’ representatives, and successors are not liable for claims or liabilities of any kind arising from participation in this event even though liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the guest in attendance

  • No glass containers allowed
  • Alcohol in private containers is not allowed
  • Alcohol may be purchased from vendors located in the festival area.

Weather:

  • The event goes on regardless of the weather
  • Those attending the event assume the risk of injury as a result of inclement weather
  • In the event of lighting, a warning is issued and guest are asked to clear the area and/or return to their cars until an "all clear" announcement is issued

Parking:

  • No parking in residential/base housing/neighborhoods on Fort Carson.
  • Parking is free, space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • All personnel must park in designated parking areas.
  • Parking in prohibited areas will result in a citation and the vehicle being towed.
  • Please follow the signs for designated parking areas.

Physical Security/Other:

  • Absolutely no personal grills or burners allowed at Flavors of Fall.
  • Lost children are accompanied by event staff to the main stage and an announcement is made via the speakerphone to make contact with the parent(s)/guardian(s)
  • 100% random personal property inspection in effect.
  • No personal fireworks or sparklers allowed on Fort Carson. These items are prohibited per FC Regulation 210-2-8.
  • No firearms and/or weapons allowed.
  • Privately-owned drones/UAV's are not allowed.
  • No coolers or tents allowed in the festival area. Coolers and tents are allowed in designated picnic areas only.
  • No glass containers allowed.
  • Alcohol in private containers is not allowed. Alcohol may be purchased from vendors located in the festival area

Pets/Companion Animals vs. Service Animals

  • No pets or companion animals allowed.
  • Only ADA service animals are allowed on site.
  • Companion Animals are not protected under the ADA.
  • Under Colorado state law HB16-1426 (effective January 2017), it is a crime to knowingly misrepresent an animal as a service animal.

Traffic:

  • Please observe posted speed limits.
  • The area around the festival venue will become congested, please slow down and watch out for pedestrians.
