Description

Enrich the learning of the Flats Arterial Community Panel. Join our public workshop!

The City of Vancouver convened the Flats Arterial Community Panel to recommend the route for a new arterial road through False Creek Flats that best meets the needs of the neighbourhood, city, and region as a whole. The Panel has been listening to input from the City and multiple stakeholders to understand the advantages and drawbacks for the proposed arterial routes. The Panel will submit their recommendations to Vancouver City Council and Vancouver Board of Parks & Recreation.

On March 5, you’ll have the chance to contribute to the Panel’s learning and study of the arterial options, and:

  • Hear about the Panelists’ work so far

  • Learn more about the proposed arterial route options

  • Enrich the Panel’s learning by participating in table discussions about the advantages and drawbacks Panelists have identified for each proposed route

  • Meet with other community members

Results of this workshop will inform the Panel’s analysis of all the arterial options.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Seating is limited, and requires advance sign up on this webpage, or by calling 778-381-9121.

About the Community Panel

40 Vancouver residents and business owners have been tasked with working together to recommend the route for a new arterial road through False Creek Flats that best meets the needs of the neighbourhood, city, and region as a whole. The Panelists were chosen from an applicant pool of Vancouver residents and business owners to reflect the diversity of the Flats and surrounding neighbourhoods.

Other ways to be involved

If you can’t make the workshop, don’t worry–there are still many ways to be involved like submitting your ideas, following along with the learning program, and attending the second public workshop on April 2.
