The Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership Business Improvement District (BID), in collaboration with General Assembly and local institutions and businesses, presents eight weeks of free education classes on the Flatiron South Public Plaza.


Music and Entertainment Marketing & Promotion | Baruch College

This talk is designed to introduce participants to the concept of marketing and branding and to help them gain an in-depth understanding of the interaction between marketing efforts, the target audience, sales, and public relations. It demonstrates how all these marketing concepts can be used together to enhance brand image and consistency.

Learning Objectives:

Students who successfully complete the course will:
• Be able to research, identify and relate with the target market for specific entertainment product(s)
• Be able to align the entertainment product and marketing strategy to the target audience
• Have an understanding of how marketing campaigns are developed for advertising and promoting entertainment programming
• Relate marketing strategies and communication to branding and brand image
• Think strategically, creatively and entrepreneurial when coming up with marketing materials

The Flatiron Summer Series, is a series of free community programming for the neighborhood, by the neighborhood, including free educational & cultural talks on Talk Tuesdays, free fitness classes on Wellness Wednesdays, and nostalgic games and performances on Throwback Thursdays.
