This course trains students as a Certified Flagger. Students will learn all aspects of flagging including setting up a traffic control zone, what to wear, hand signals, how to handle the attitudes of the road users, and to expect the unexpected.
This is a six (6) hour course. Upon successful completion of the exam, the student will receive a flagger certification card which is honored in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.
FLAGGER PREREQUISITE: THE STUDENT MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. THE PERSON MUST BE ABLE TO STAND FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME AND WORK OUTSIDE IN ALL WEATHER SITUATIONS.
Class fee of $65.00 includes instruction, exam, and the required textbook and materials:

- Washington Administrative Code (Washington rules for flagging
- Flagger Certification card
Check-in starts at 8:30am. Class starts promptly at 9:00am - 4:00pm with a 1-hour break for lunch; there are restaurants nearby.
