FIT4BOWEL24
Overview
Join us for Fit4Bowel24, a 24-hour community fitness challenge from the 31st January 2026 8AM until 1st February 2026 8AM. Orgainised by Vanessa Mendico and hosted by PFC Gym in Epping the Fit4Bowel24 challenge was created to raise awareness and vital funds for Bowel Cancer Australia.
Teams of 5–6 people will take turns on a chosen piece of cardio equipment — bike, ski, rower, treadmill, or outdoor run — keeping it moving continuously for the full 24 hours.
It’s all about endurance, teamwork, and community spirit, while raising vital funds for a cause that impacts so many Australians.
🎟️ Tickets are $30 per person.
Once you’ve registered, link up with your loved ones, friends, or gym mates to form your team of 5–6 people and let organiser Vanessa know your team name and members.
Over the 24 hours, as long as one person is moving — whether that’s on a machine or running — your team stays in the challenge! You’re welcome to have more supporters, but only registered participants (with at least one person active at all times) will be counted as official teams.
This event was inspired by organiser Vanessa Mendico, who was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer at age 28 and is now passionate about giving back to the charity that supported her and countless others through their journeys. After being part of many major Bowel Cancer Australia fundraising events across the country, Vanessa wanted to bring the movement home — tapping into her Melbourne fitness community to make an impact close to home.
