More than 300 fish have been added to the picturesque lake at Bettenay’s in preparation for the exciting fishing competition casting off at the beginning of October.
The event to be held on Saturday 8th October and Saturday and Sunday 15th and 16th October promises to be a fun day out for the whole family.
“I can’t think of a nicer setting to spend a day: the lake is sparkling and opulent after the winter rain and literally teaming with fine Rainbow Trout and Silver Perch,” said wine-maker, Greg Bettenay.
Win the daily prize by reeling in the biggest or smallest fish or be the first to catch one of the two tagged fish to win the major prize of two night’s accommodation at Bettenay’s.
Purchase one of our Farmer’s Market Grazing Platters, grab a picnic blanket and reserve your spot by the lake in one of Cowaramup’s most beautiful locations.
With games available for children, Bettenay’s wine and nougat tasting and cider from The Cidery in Bridgetown, there really is something for everyone.
You can choose to bring your own trusty rod and nibbles or you can hire/purchase items on the day.
Pre-sale tickets are available from Bettenay’s starting from just $7 without rod hire and payment for fish caught will be taken on the day. There is a maximum of 5 fish per person and the cost of the first fish is included in the price.
