Fish for a Hero Event at Rockport Marina

Please join us at the Rockport Reservoir Marina. We will have plenty of on-shore and off-shore activities for the entire family. A complimentary lunch will be provided by our fine volunteers and sponsors at the conclusion of the tournament (1:00 PM). Come out and see old friends and make new ones.

Everything you will need to enjoy a day of kayaking and fishing will be provided to include kayaks, life jackets, fishing gear, bait, food, and drinks. Lunch will be served and snacks and drinks will be provided during the day.
If you are interested in fishing in the event, we are offering to waive the entry fee to the first 10 Veterans. Sign up as a Competitor below.

Rockport Reservoir is a large lake located on the Weber River midway between Kamas and Coalville. The reservoir shoreline is owned entirely by the state of Utah.
Rockport is a popular ice fishing destination, especially for Perch enthusiasts anxious to catch lots of tasty Yellow Perch through the ice.
- Statewide Trout/Salmon/Grayling limit: 4 fish (in the aggregate)
From Salt Lake: Take I-80 east to Wanship. Head south on State Rd. 32. Travel to the end of the lake and turn left on 302. This road takes you on the east side of the lake. Travel north, pass the main marina and boat ramp to the Lariat Group site.
Events are rain or shine, dress appropriately for the weather. You will be notified if the event is cancelled for any reason. You may get wet during the outing. Its always a good idea to pack extra dry clothes for the way home.
A Few Rules:
HOW events are ALCOHOL FREE.
Vets/guests are NOT allowed to go kayak fishing during the event without a HOW guide.
You MUST wear your PFD the entire time you are out in a kayak.
Food will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own snacks/food/drinks if you have special needs/preferences.
We love our non-service dogs as most of you love yours, but for the safety of all of our participants and volunteers, we ask that you refrain from bringing your non-service dogs to our event.
