Event description

After the First World War, Tonbridge adopted the village of Thiepval, pledging to support the village and its people rebuild their homes.  The people of Tonbridge raised money, enough to install a new water supply for the village.

This year marks 100 years since the battle of the Somme.  This is a fabulous opportunity to explore some of the battlefields, hear stories of the men who served, and to pay your respects to fallen heroes.

You will be joined by expert guide Sophie Shrubsole to ensure you get the most from your day.
