To help answer these questions and more, Habitat is proud to offer a First-Time Homebuyer Class. This is a HUD-certified class designed for anyone thinking about buying or ready to buy a first home.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Advantages and disadvantages of homeownership

  • How much home can I afford?

  • Credit and credit scores

  • Negotiating the purchase

  • Shopping for a loan and the loan process

  • Closing process and documents

  • Obligations as a homeowner

  • Household budgeting

We are a HUD-approved housing counseling program. A certificate for the class will be issued. For more information please email Habitat Housing Counselor, Ramel George at RGeorge@HabitatEBSV.org.

*Discounted registration fees are available for attendees whose income is below 80% AMI. Please call 408.620.3411 for verification requirements.
