Questions about qualifying for a loan? What are the credit requirements? How much can you afford?

Have you always dreamed about buying a house, but never knew where to get started? Look no further!

Our experts will take you through the home-buying from A to Z! We'll even have a mortgage specialist, Grazia Cortes, from Chase who will be able to speak from specific real life examples.

Learn about available down payment assistance programs and tax benefits to becoming a homeowner.

Our counselors are expert money managers and will give you the tools to set yourself up for financial stability in homeownership.

The Financial Services Department offers free credit counseling to clients every day. Our counselors have received multiple certifications in credit counseling from industry leading training organizations.

No, we are holding this class at the Uptown branch of the Chicago Public Library at
929 W. Buena Ave, Chicago, IL 60640. We will meet in the Esther Barlow Room.

Does this qualify me to receive the certification for down payment assistance?

Yes, you will receive your certification after completing this class and our 2-hour one-on-one session.

How is this service free?

North Side Community Federal Credit Union's Department of Financial Services receives funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the City of Chicago to provide free counseling services.

Can I bring friends?

Absolutely! The more, the merrier!

Do I need to be in the process of buying a house to attend?

Not at all! Everyone who is interested in buying a house may attend; even if they're just getting started.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

The library location has a parking lot on site.
