Event description
The mission of Marin Community Clinics is to promote health and wellness through excellent, compassionate care for all.

About this Event

Marin Community Clinics has provided compassionate and affordable health care to uninsured and low-income residents of Marin County since 1972. We have grown from humble beginnings where volunteer physicians and nurses saw patients in church basements, to a 21st century provider with modern facilities, expert paid physicians and nurses, the latest technology, and sophisticated diagnostic, treatment and prevention programs.

The Clinics provides pediatric, family and adult medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, dentistry, behavioral health, diagnostic radiology, pharmacy, laboratory, and some specialty services to over 38,500 insured and uninsured Marin residents annually. In addition to healthcare, the Clinics offer several programs that promote overall well-being such as health education, stress management, social support, and food security.

Meilyn Santana, MPH/HSA is Marin Community Clinic’s Director of Grants and Communications. She has worked at the Clinics for over 7 years and has overseen several Clinics’ departments and programs. Meilyn is a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil and holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Science and Administration of Curitiba and a master’s degree in Public Administration with a Health Concentration from the University of San Francisco.
