The Executive Advisory Board of Connecticut FIRST cordially invites you to attend the 2013 FIRST Robotics Competition Connecticut Regional sponsored by UTC.
Join us as nearly 1,700 students from six states gather March 29-30 at the Connecticut Convention Center to compete at the largest FIRST competition in New England.
FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills that inspire innovation. FIRST programs foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication and leadership.
The Connecticut Regional sponsored by UTC is the culmination of an intense six-week period in which the students and their engineering mentors must design, build, test and ship a custom designed robot. The competition is a fitting test of the skills developed by our Nation’s future workforce, whether the students eventually pursue technical or non-technical work.
Please join us at the competition on Friday March 29th or Saturday March 30th to tour the pits, watch the competition, and meet the teams.
Competition Day 1: Friday, March 29 8:30am – 5:00pm
Competition Day 2: Saturday, March 30 8:30am – 4:00pm
