The State Society of Iowa will host a celebration in the nation’s capital the weekend of the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump. The First in the Nation Celebration on Saturday, January 21st will bring together Iowans who live in Washington, D.C., those visiting from the Hawkeye State, and friends of the state at the historic National Museum of Women in the Arts.
The soiree will feature hors d'oeuvres of Iowa cuisine favorites and an open bar. VIP tickets will grant attendees access to a private, extended reception and access to a special bar. Food and beverages are included in the ticket price of $80. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $130 and will include access to the exclusive bar and extended reception. Ticket prices will rise after December 31 to $95 for general admission and $145 for VIP.
