The ISU PTAC (Procurement Technical Assistance Center) is thrilled to provide a half-day, hands-on workshop in partnership with Joshua Frank, Managing Partner at RSM Federal to help all businesses looking to create (or refine) their Capabilities Statements and jump-start their marketing to local, state, and federal agencies for improved government sales.

Joshua Frank is an author, trainer, and business coach with 28 years in the federal space, and speaks nationally on small business strategy and business acceleration. He specializes in the development and implementation of techniques and strategies required to differentiate, position for, and win government contracts.

This workshop will not only provide the basics of what to put in a Capability Statement, but more importantly, focus on a company's value, understanding their past performance, and recognizing what the government and teaming partners are looking for in a capability statement

Curriculum will include, but not limited to:

i. How to define the value of your company and the products or services you sell

ii. How to communicate differentiation

iii. The differences between product and service-based companies

iv. How to position your capability statement for increased perception of corporate maturity

v. Development of a capability statement

vi. How to use your capability statement

vii. Understanding how and when to tailor your capability statement (both government and teaming) based on objective or opportunity.
