Eventbrite registration is required for in-person attendence. Live streaming/web-cast - we are exploring options for live-streaming this event. Currently, it is not decided whether we will be able to live-stream this event.

Come hear powerful First Generation Professionals (FGP) stories and uncover:

  • Strategies to effectively recruit and advance FGPs
  • Insights for mitigating systemic “class" biases that may prevent full and fair consideration of FGPs
  • Workplace inclusion efforts necessary to engage FGPs and unleash their full potential

Who are First Generation Professionals?

  • First Generation Professionals are Trailblazers.
  • They are one of the first in their immediate families to enter the professional work environment (i.e. parentscareers consisted of traditional blue-collar positions or those not requiring a college education).
  • They are professionals with varying socio-economic backgrounds, life experiences, skills and talents that diversify our workforce, AND WHEN LEVERAGED, they help agencies optimally serve our diverse public.

Directions: The Herbert C. Hoover Building Auditorium (HCHB) is located on the first floor at 1401 Constitution Avenue, NW and is easily accessible from Federal Triangle Metro Station. The building entrance for visitors is on the 14th street across from the Ronald Reagan Building.
