About this event

First Course NYC is an apprenticeship program that teaches the culinary skills necessary for a career as a line cook. This 14-week program includes eight weeks of classroom kitchen training delivered by experienced Chefs/Instructors, followed by six weeks of on-the-job training in respected New York City restaurants.

Interested? Attend a virtual info session where you will learn more about the program requirements and receive a link to complete an online program application. If your application is accepted, you will be invited to participate in a Tryout Day and interviews with Employer Partners. The goal of First Course NYC is to seamlessly transition participants into a full-time Restaurant Cook position at a NYC restaurant at the end of the program. You will need to attend an info session to apply.
