This event is intended to train members of first aid teams for the Arkansas Department of Education under its emergency preparedness program. It consists of both lecture and hands-on instruction following the curriculum of the American Red Cross and includes CPR and use of an automated external defibrillator. Completion of the course results in a two-year certification by the American Red Cross to perform first aid and CPR. There is no cost to the student for this training. Wear comfortable clothing, as students will be on the floor performing first aid tasks. This class is approximately eight hours. This class is for Arkansas Department of Education employees only.
