This clinic, hosted by the University of Nevada Rock Climbing Club, will cover first aid, particularly as it applies to the wilderness.
Whether you are an experienced rock climber, or a casual hiker, first aid skills are very important to staying safe outdoors. This clinic will cover how to asses and safely manage dangerous situations, with an emphasis on scenarios likely to result from rock climbing and associated activities.
Note that you will not receive any certification for the completion of this clinic, but it expected that the practical knowledge will be extraordinarily beneficial to any outdoor enthusiast.
This clinic will be held in the Graduate Student Lounge, located on the 3rd floor of the Joe Crowley Student Union.
There is a maximum of 15 people who may attend this clinic, so sign up to reserve your spot! You must be a climbing club member in good standing for the fall semester to attend this clinic.
