Executive Chef Michael Ground from Fireside by The Patio has partnered with Liberty Station’s Public Market on August 31 for an unforgettable 4 course dinner experience.

Executive Chef Michael Ground will guide dinner guests through the Liberty Public Market on a personal tour, visiting the local farmers who’ve harvested the ingredients for the evening’s dinner and who will provide tastings of the fresh produce and ingredients. Along the way, Chef Ground will reveal his thought process and inspiration behind the night’s menu. Chef Ground will then prepare a farm-fresh multi-course dinner at Fireside by The Patio, using the ingredients found and purchased directly from the market earlier that day. The cost for the event is $50++ per person (alcohol not included, but available). Reserve today – this will sell out fast!

About Fireside:

Located in historic Liberty Station, Fireside by The Patio is a large outdoor venue ideal for both social and corporate functions. With a focus on wood-fired and smoked cuisine, Fireside by The Patio features an eclectic menu inspired by contemporary backyard favorites.

About Shop with the Chef:

Born and raised in San Diego, Michael Ground originally considered a career in banking before donning the chef’s coat. However, when he realized he’d rather be cooking than crunching numbers, he hung up the calculator and enrolled in the Arizona Culinary Institute, where he would eventually earn his degree.

While at Arizona, Chef Mike gained valuable experience working for James Beard semi-finalist Kevin Binkley, honing his techniques in French, American, and bistro-style cooking. Chef would eventually make his way back home, working for a slew of notable restaurants with a large variety of roles and responsibilities. All of that dedication and hard work eventually paid off in 2016, as Chef Mike was named Executive Chef for the Patio Restaurant Group.

At Fireside in Liberty Station, Chef Mike is the master of meats large and small, personally curating quality offerings on a wood inspired menu.
