About this event

SPONSORED BY SVB (Silicon Valley Bank)

Tessa is on a mission to reduce the racial wealth gap, once and for all. She wants to make Black and Latinx folks millionaires/billionaires. Tessa's working towards that mission by investing in early-stage Black and Latinx founders while simultaneously creating access for diverse LPs. She's tackling a $2 Trillion opportunity. This work is not charity.

I am excited to chat with her about the beginning of her journey, how she got here, and the future she's building.

Tessa's no stranger to the game. She began her career in venture capital as a venture investor at TechNexus, a Chicago-based fund, where she invested in enterprise SaaS technologies at the seed stage. She went on to join Genius Guild Greenhouse Fund as a Venture Capitalist in Residence, investing in Black founders in fintech, health tech, and connectivity.

She's also a former founder. She founded La Plataforma, a fintech payments platform sending international money transfers throughout Latin America.

Stanford University undergrad. Columbia Business School in NY, MBA.

You will have a blast listening to her. Please come by to listen to a great conversation about reducing the racial wealth gap, and meet some cool people over drinks.
