About this event

SPONSORED BY SVB (SILICON VALLEY BANK)

I am excited to host my good friend, Kevin Willer! We will be talking about all things Chicago; the work he has done to pave the way for Chicago tech today, the work needed to ensure Chicago's a top-tier tech hub, and sports ownership.

Kevin is one of the most influential people in Chicago. The work he has done over the past couple of decades is one of the reasons why Chicago tech is where it is today.

Chicago currently has 12 tech unicorns, meaning startups valued at $1 Billion or more. Through his fund Chicago Ventures, he's an early investor in at least four of the Chicago unicorns (Cameo, G2, M1, Project44).

Back in 2000, he Co-Founded Google's office in Chicago. He spent ten years at Google. He then became a Venture Partner at Pritzker Group, where he and J.B Pritzker collaborated on many Chicago tech initiatives. He was also the founding CEO of 1871.

Kevin owns two professional soccer teams, Chicago Red Stars & Leyton Orient F.C, in the UK. So I'll definitely be geeking out about his journey and experiences in sports ownership and what that all entails.

Come vibe with some cool people over drinks, and listen to a great conversation!

I have now removed all Covid restrictions.
