Lisbon isn’t just known for their beaches, graffiti and custard tarts but also for its impressive startup ecosystem.
Lisbon’s exploding startup ecosystem helps to reposition the city and put it on the global startup map of creative industries.
Design Terminal brings you one of the main actors whose goal is to make Lisbon a competitive hub.
Co-founder of Beta-i, entrepreneur, connector, firestarter, proud father
Ricardo Marvão is the co-founder and board member of Beta-i, an association which has focused its energies on fostering entrepreneurial ecosystems, increasing innovation and entrepreneurship in Portugal and fostering connections in the international startup ecosystem. As a mentor at Seedcamp he dedicates his time to directly work with entrepreneurs and share his own experience with them. In 2015 he became a member of the SXSW Accelerator Advisory Board and helps companies to successfully present their innovation to an investor community
We will deeply discuss the key factors of the developing Portuguese startup ecosystem. What is their strategy they follow and can be adopted to the Hungarian scene? What has been Ricardo’s role in achieving their status on the global startup map?
Daniel Vattay, key mentor of Design Terminal’s Techlab, coach and consultant will moderate the evening and give time for open discussion at the end.
