USC NOBE is privilaged to welcome Howard Marks, founder and chairman of Oaktree Capital- an investment management firm that has over 78 billion dollars under management. The firm specializes mainly in distressed and corporate debt, but also has investments in other asset classes including control investing, real estate and equities.
Prior to founding Oaktree, Marks served as Chief Investment Officer for Domestic Fixed Income at TCW. His previous work experience also includes serving as Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Citicorp Investment Management. Before his role as VP, he held positions as both Citicorp's Director of Research and an equity research analyst.
Mr. Marks holds a bachelors degree in Finance from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated cum laude. He also holds an M.B.A in Accounting and Marketing from the Booth school of business at the University of Chicago. He is a CFA charterholder and a Chartered Investment Counselor.

The event will consist of a moderated Q&A session which will then be followed by open networking.
Each segment of the event will last for an hour. Dress code is Business Casual
