The U.S. Supreme Court appears poised to overturn both Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey. While this historic ruling is unsurprising given the conservative composition of the court, it will fundamentally reshape abortion access across the country, leaving many states with little to no access to legal abortion care.

About Gina Gonzales :
Gilda Gonzales became CEO of Planned Parenthood Northern California (PPNorCal) on June 5, 2017. She is the first Latina to serve as CEO of a California Planned Parenthood affiliate. Ms. Gonzales initially joined PPNorCal in February 2014 as Senior VP of External Affairs. Prior to PPNorCal, Ms. Gonzales served as CEO of The Unity Council - a non-profit organization advancing social and economic equity for residents in central East Oakland. She has a long history of public and community service having served in leadership positions in Oakland City Hall for 14 years, three years as legislative staff in the California State Assembly and also served as Board member of the Port of Oakland Commission and Alameda County’s First 5 Commission. Currently, she is a member of the national Planned Parenthood Federation of America Board.
She has a Master’s in Public Administration from CSU East Bay and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Psychology from St. Mary’s College of California. Ms. Gonzales’ has received several leadership acknowledgements, most notably: Alameda County Women’s Hall of Fame Inductee, SF Business Times’ Influential Women “Forever Influential” designation, and St. Mary’s College of California’s 40 Most Influential Women Graduates. She grew up in California’s Central Valley and currently lives in Oakland with her husband, Ken Wysocki, Ph.D.
