Growth hacking: Using quick, inexpensive, iterative tactics to reach more users online.
At last month's Firecat First Friday session, we explored using Google Analytics to measure what's happening with your digital presence. Growth hacking is continually using those metrics and experimenting with tactics and best practices to grow your customer base and sales — FAST.
Growth hacking arose out of necessity from the startup culture. Startups with tiny teams and budgets are forced to be inventive. They must integrate marketing INTO their products and services, rather than spend money on ads and marketing.
And it works! Growth hacking quickly spread from startups to online services like AirBnB, Groupon, Udemy, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. It's now embraced by e-commerce giants like Walmart, Target, Expedia.
On Friday, May 1, Rebecca Reser and Karl Staib will cover:
- What is growth hacking? Who does it, and why?
- What's the difference between growth hacking and regular online marketing?
- Growth hacking case studies and examples
- Interactive ideas and participant discussion
