The Sequoia Healthcare District welcomes Gareth Harris, Redwood City Fire Marshal, for a Town Hall meeting on fire safety and prevention.

About this event

Join us for a timely Town Hall meeting to kick off Sequoia Healthcare District's Disaster Preparedness series. The Bay Area hillsides, while beautiful, are an ideal environment for devastating wildfires.

In this community event, Fire Marshall Gareth Harris will address fire safety and prevention tips for your home and family. He will also discuss home hardening and defensible space, the buffer zone between a building on your property and the grass, trees, shrubs, or any wildland area.

The Redwood City Fire Department urges everyone to plan ahead, since the best way to make your home and family -- including pets! -- are safe is to be prepared before disaster strikes.

Gareth Harris, MBA, is experienced fire service professional, having served in every position from firefighter to paramedic and fire chief. He is currently the Fire Marshal for the City of Redwood City Fire Department, serving the Cities of Redwood City and San Carlos.

Parents, students, educators, health care professionals, and community members welcome! Free admission. Spanish interpretation will be available.

This Town Hall community meeting is sponsored by Sequoia Healthcare District, in partnership with The Parent Venture.
