09:50 – 10:30
The Splendors and Miseries of Security Token Offerings

Speaker: Donn Krassiyenko, Investment Research Manager, Blockchain & ICO at Techemy Capital

Topic Abstract – “The Digital Revolution has brought us to a threshold of a whole new world called “the Internet of Value”. Enabled by blockchain, it allows both businesses and individuals to digitally capture, democratise, securely transfer, and rightfully own the value they possess, whether it is personal data, real estate, company shares, fine art, gold, or goodwill.

For one, blockchain allows start-ups to get easier access to capital. By tokenising business value and opting for ICO crowd-funding models, companies have raised nearly US$30 billion in funds in 2018. This presentation will take you through the latest blockchain investment trends, shed the light on winning practices, and navigate you through turmoil ahead of the rise of security token offering (STOs)”

Bio – “Coming from a marketing and ICT background, Donn has first-hand experience working with disruptive technologies such as cybersecurity, cloud, mobility, AI, and IoT. As a FinTech strategist, Donn is placed on the forefront of digital transformation, using his analytical skills and industry knowledge to help businesses to navigate through the impenetrable mists of blockchain landscape, and make strategy and investment decisions. By bridging the legacy world with the realities of the Internet of Value, Donn makes it easier for businesses to embrace the technological change and stay relevant by renovating business models. Working for the Techemy group, Donn acts as a trusted and expert advisor to corporate leadership and is responsible for driving high impact strategic and business development initiatives. Donn oversees investment prioritisation, business mix assessment, as well as private equity and M&A strategies. He is challenged with deploying Techemy’s capital into digital cryptographic assets, investing in early-stage ICO start-ups across blockchain infrastructure and crypto protocols.”
