Event description

Description

Our hope this year is to help you feel the excitement of learning more about your personal Family History. This year, you can meet a a wonderful artist, Brian Kershisnik, who feels deeply about his own ancestors. You can talk to a family history expert, Candy Steinhorst, who has worked at FamilySearch for 30 years. Over 20 family history classes will be presented throughout the day. For those of you who don’t like to sit in classes or perhaps just don’t have the time to stay all day, you can come and go, and learn at your own pace, at our open family history booths. Our Family History Center will also be open all day for you to learn and do Indexing and ask specific questions about your personal family history needs. Our Movie Room is the low-key place where you can come-relax -eat free popcorn and watch some great videos and movies to help inspire you while you learn more about family history. You can also enjoy wonderful musical performances and fun skits to add to the fun of the day. At the end of the day celebrate and let your hair down a bit at the All Generations Family Dance! There will be free pizza and soda pop and an exciting balloon drop! You can enjoy dancing to the music of all generations and if you don’t like to dance- you might just enjoy watching and hearing some of that good old music. This is a Family History Fair like no other!

Everyone has a family and everyone benefits from knowing more about their own roots. So “come to the table” and be filled and inspired as you work toward Finding Your Roots! We invite you to experience family history in a new and fun way. We would love to see you there!
