Finding Your Niche: Disruptive Technologies, Entrepreneurship and You
Tue, April 18, 2017, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM PDT
Ever wonder about technology solutions that change the way we live and do things? What do these disruptive technologies have in common? What are the new and upcoming frontiers? How are they funded? Who influences them? What college majors lead to them? How much money can be made? What is the typical career path? How does one get started?
Students and families are invited to attend a presentation by Mr. Syrous Parsay, a retired inventor, entrepreneur and business executive, who will speak about how disruptive technologies change the world and how to start thinking like an entrepreneur. The lecture will be followed by optional small group exercise.
An optional 15 minute exercise, following the lecture, will provide an opportunity for interested students and adults to experience thinking like an entrepreneur by utilizing “Design Thinking” strategies. Participants will be entered into a drawing for prizes.
Registration is required for all attendees. RSVP required for first 35 students and first 35 parents to reserve a seat in small group exercise.
