Taking the smartest actions will mean accelerated success with less effort!

Several of our local Orange County Multimedia organizations are joining forces to strengthen freelance and small business creatives to be better armed to find work in today’s job market.

The full day workshop will consist of four highly successful and sought after presenters. They are extremely effective and well known within their fields, as evidenced by companies calling them with opportunities, and they will share their job-hunting  techniques with you.

The day is designed for freelance and small business creatives who are video pros, editors, visual effects artists, graphic designers, illustrators, web developers, voice-over artists, cartoonists, animators and more.

Topics will include how to navigate the various social media platforms as well as how best to market yourself and your business, to take the “work” out of looking for work.

You can expect to come away with new tools, insights, and more efficient actions to take, that will have an impact on your success.

Lunch is included, parking is free, raffle prizes too. Including a One Year Creative Cloud Software Subscription, GoPro Hero3 Camera, Illustrator plugin, and two One Year Membership to Training Library

Automating Twitter To Inform And Entertain with Sebastian Bleak

Sebastian Bleak is a Graphic Scientist, Training, and Support Lead at Astute Graphics, makers of award-winnning, time-saving plug-ins for Adobe Illustrator.

Follow his weekly project "Never Stop Learning", where he studies up on different Adobe tools and shares his findings with the design community. He has been at it for over 180 weeks, and the majority of tools studied are in Photoshop and Illustrator. You can follow his work on various Social Media outlets and his video tutorials on YouTube.

Sebastian will talk about Twitter from a couple of different perspectives:

1) For the freelancer or small business owner, how Twitter can be automated to put out pre-composed Tweets that will inform and entertain their audience, whoever that might be. Sebastian will also cover how to use social media tools like Hoot Suite and TweetDeck.

2) How Astute Graphics uses this platform to engage people in periodic design competitions

In addition, during this session, Sebastian will take some time to show the latest and greatest new plug-ins for Adobe Illustrator from Astute Graphics, and it will certainly fit in with any discussion of the design of marketing materials for small businesses.
