Finding Voice in the Unspeakable: Honoring Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse
Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM (EST)
Healing from child sexual abuse is a journey that does not have an end date. However, the healing process begins with stopping the lonely and painful cycle of secrecy. Remember, you are not alone! Survivors are everywhere.
Each year in the U.S. more than 300,000 children are sexually abused. In fact, in the U.S. alone, there are approximately 60 million survivors of child sexual abuse (CSA). It's an abuse that is indiscriminate, cutting across gender, race, culture, familial socio-economic status, religion and other diversities.
ALTSDS Church is committed to addressing child sexual abuse prevention & is part of CONNECTNYC’s Safe Faith Community Project (SFCP) designed to work with faith communities/churches to engage in education, advocacy, and organizing to eradicate child sexual abuse.
Join ALTSDS Church on Saturday, December 12, 2015 in a service to honor the value, dignity and humanity of child sexual abuse survivors.
