In this session, we’ll dive into how shadows define form, influence mood, and reveal hidden details. You’ll learn how subtle shifts in light can dramatically change a photo’s atmosphere—and how to use those transitions intentionally to tell stronger visual stories.

We’ll discuss real-world examples, camera settings, and creative techniques to help you better understand how to “see” shadows before you press the shutter. If you’d like to bring your camera, you’re welcome to follow along, but participation is completely optional—this session is designed to inspire and inform photographers at all levels.

Bonus for attendees: After the class, you’ll have the chance to sit for a professional headshot, with digital images shared in real time—ready to use for your portfolio, profile, or next creative project.

Christopher Berry is a commercial portrait photographer based in Southern Arizona. For over a decade, he’s used FUJIFILM cameras to create expressive images across creative, documentary, and corporate settings.

He loves working with natural light but also embraces off-camera and constant lighting to expand creative possibilities—capturing as much of the final image as possible in-camera. With FUJIFILM’s rich color science and advanced tools, Christopher turns ideas into timeless photographs.

Passionate about sharing his craft, he teaches one-on-one and group lessons on lighting, composition, posing, and creative techniques for photographers of all levels.
