About this Event

Be part of history

Website

The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) calls for all of us to collaborate and work together - to build a new path towards co-prosperity, one that is guided and informed by Indigenous Peoples.

British Columbia will be the first jurisdiction in Canada to adopt and implement the Declaration. The right path will represent a brighter future for Canada, but what will it look like? And how do we get there?

The Declaration calls for boundary-breaking, open discourse to address these questions. Right now, implementation of the Declaration is challenged by an absence of that discourse.

The Finding the Path to Shared Prosperity event will be a game-changer as Indigenous leaders, government representatives, and industry visionaries come together for the critical conversations that are needed to help illuminate the path forward. This is a conversation that needs you.

Highlights:

  • Pioneering partnerships between business and Indigenous groups have been a hallmark of British Columbia development in recent times.
  • Hear a diverse viewpoints as numerous examples are explored.
  • Law specialists will share their information on how to navigate a broad set of legal reforms, including some leading into uncharted waters.
  • Keynote speakers will reflect on their experiences.
  • Grow your network with thought leaders and fellow practitioners in this space.
