In this Leadership Forum Sir Tim Brighouse and David Cameron will look at the filters that you might use to inform your decisions, reflect on what they think the approach to improvement in schools should be and, as always, put that in the context of your day-to-day realities.
As schools and school leaders come under more and more pressure to change and to improve our schools, we are pushed to adopt practice from elsewhere. Sometimes that can be from countries who are successful in PISA or other international comparisons. Sometimes it can be from beacon schools or the research from John Hattie and others.
There is certainly no shortage of people offering advice, but what advice should we heed and what practice might we adopt? It is difficult for busy school leaders to get time to think, far less, read absorb and consider.
This conversation will offer practical ideas, innovative thinking, a real opportunity to learn from peers and share the distilled wisdom of two leading educationalists.
We hope you can join us.
