Finding Kind Screening at Oak Middle School
Monday, January 30, 2012 at 7:00 PM (PST)
Oak Middle School, the Oak PTO, and the Parent Forum at Shrewsbury High School are partnering to bring you a screening of the documentary film Finding Kind. Finding Kind is a compelling new feature film and movement, based upon the powerful belief in KINDness, that brings awareness and healing to the negative and lasting effects of girl-against-girl bullying. Already creating buzz at film festivals and schools across the country, Finding Kind documents the 10,000-mile cross-country journey of Lauren Parsekian and Molly Thompson, two first time filmmakers who were both teen victims of “mean girls”.
We encourage moms and daughters to attend together for a ‘Girls Night Out’. Due to the difficult situations discussed and some profanity, we recommend this film for grade 7 students and above.
Tickets are $5.00 for adults and free for students. Please print a ticket for each person attending the event so we can keep track of the number of seats available. Be sure to bring your tickets with you on January 30th.
