Event description

Description

This is a pop-up collaboration between humankind and the Big Love Spiritual Community, as part of the Interfaith Awareness Week, a series of events of the California Interfaith Association. In an ongoing effort to continually build a community of listeners, learners, and connectors, members of the humankind San Diego community will be co-organizing and attending this Interfaith gathering. We encourage you to attend as well!!!

About the gathering

“Finding Common Ground — Interfaith Meets The NONES”

The “NONES” (those who do not self-identify with a particular faith tradition) are the most rapidly growing segment in the American Spiritual-Religious scene, now representing 25% - 33% of our population.

In this highly experiential and interactive gathering, we'll use an exciting process of listening and dialoguing to discover ways that people of Faith and the “Nones” might come together to contribute to the greater good for all.

In the spirit of “Embracing Our Diversity”, please join us at the Nobel Recreation Center (8810 Judicial Drive, SD, CA 92122) on Monday, August 6th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Co-sponsored by humankind San Diego and the Big Love Spiritual Community, this event is part of the state-wide Interfaith Awareness Week activities.

If you have any questions about the event, please email Steve Maynard at steve@thebiglove.org.

Hope to see you there!

About Big Love Spirtual Community

Big Love Spiritual Community brings a fresh and new, visionary and wholistic approach to life — one brimming with spirit, meaning, inspiration, relevance, and fun for today’s world….something just right for the 21st-Century. Our aim is to inspire, cultivate, and empower the best in each of us to co-create the best for all of us and for all creation. Big Love encourages each person to develop a “Personally Meaningful Spirituality” and to practice the art of “Authentic Living”. These help us all to live more “spiritfully” — every day in every way — and to realize the freedom and courage to live as Love!

About The California Interfaith Association

The California Interfaith Association, newly founded in 2018, is connecting California Interfaith communities and supporting affiliates. It is an independent entity, that honors and respects all faiths, cultures, creeds, and races and seeks to learn from those who believe equal spiritual opportunity and human rights belong to every person. Since securing a “Proclamation” (passed by the State Assembly and signed by the Governor) designating the Second Week of August as “Interfaith Awareness Week”, it has encouraged its members to hold events during that week.
