From Find Your Artistic Voice:

An artist’s voice is their calling card. It allows viewers looking at a work—whether on social media or in a museum—to recognize the creator. And, as most creatives quickly realize, developing a oneofakind aesthetic takes work. In this candid and encouraging guide, bestselling author, artist, and illustrator Lisa Congdon guides readers through the process of developing their own distinctive voice. Featuring advice from Congdon herself and interviews with a roster of established artists, Find Your Artistic Voice shows readers how to: understand what artistic voice is and why it matters; identify and foster their own visual identity; navigate influence and differentiate their work from that of artists they admire; maintain a dedicated practice that allows their voice to evolve and thrive; and appreciate the singular personal journey that makes their artistic voice unique.
