Event description

Description

The financial services industry has undergone significant transformations with the rise of Financial Technology (FinTech) firms, and banking will never be the same. For communities of color, who are still chronically redlined and underbanked, FinTech’s disruption of traditional banking and creditworthiness models presents an opportunity to fully participate in our economy and take steps to close the racial wealth gap.

Greenlining’s FinClusion Summit will bring together consumer advocates, FinTech and tech firms, banks, state policy makers leaders, and academics to discuss opportunities and challenges in serving communities of color via online platforms. With the end goals of advancing racial equity in FinTech and ensuring equitable access to safe and sound credit, this convening will uphold best practices and business strategies that can be replicated across the industry.
