Event description

Description

Do you have strong analytic skills and an interest in financial services? If so, join the Institute for Financial Services Analytics for an info session and open house to learn more about a Ph.D. in Financial Services Analytics.

Why financial services analytics at UD?

  • Financial services analytics applies modern data science techniques, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, to analyze and solve real world financial industry problems.

  • UD's financial services analytics (FSAN) doctoral program is the first of its kind in the nation.

  • A doctorate in FSAN is interdisciplinary - a joint effort between UD's Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics and College of Engineering.

  • Through a significant grant from JPMorgan Chase and Co, top candidates are provdided with financial support - including tuition and a stipend.

  • Students are part of a small and diverse student cohort group which provides ample opportunities for collaboration and close faculty interaction, attention and support.

  • Excellent job prospects in industry and academia are available to graduates of the FSAN doctorate program.

  • Students with either a B.S. degree or a M.S. degree are eligible to apply to the program.

The info session will be held on Tuesday, April 30th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in Purnell 328.

During the event, you will have the opportunity to learn specific details about the program, including admissions information and general program requirements. Following the information session, there will be an open house in the IFSA Suite (PRN 350) where you will have the chance to meet and talk with FSAN faculty members and current Ph.D. students.
