About this Event

Learn about nonprofit accounting in this fear-free setting, including financial terminology, internal controls, financial statements, and the importance of the budget in the overall planning process as well as elements in building a sound budget.

Topics include:

Amanda Schlank, Manager, Assurance and Advisory

Amanda has over seven years of public accounting experience working in a wide variety of industries, including audits of not-for-profit organizations (foundations, educational institutions and service-based organizations), privately held companies and publicly traded companies. Her areas of expertise includes: SEC compliance and reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOX”) compliance and audits in accordance with the requirements of OMB Circular A-133 audits. Amanda graduated from California State University, Northridge, earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in economics. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
